Just witnessed a very strange exchange. Was at Rona buying some sanding supplies and the guy in front of me started questioning the cashier about the warranty on a $20 toilet seat and then demanded to talk to the manager about it.....weirdest thing I've seen in a while.

Those soft closing ones can break/wear out.  But wouldn't the warranty information be on the packaging? And geez, if you get the product home and google the manufacturer's website and don't like the info, pretty sure you can bring it back for a refund at Home Depot no-questions-asked.

I've just never thought of going through the hassle of bothering with warranty and bring a toilet seat back to the store, if one breaks, I go get a new one, not really anything I would even think about it.

It's probably a crappy warranty.

Good thing you clarified. The other kind is pretty destructive. Dad had his lawn torn up by José Bautista on two non-consecutive occasions.  ;D
