High pressure builds and often stays - meaning a cold spell.  That "plus temperature" gets pushed and pushed.  Mercer hits the nail on the head.  And hilariously, naturally...

After seeing those pictures of Buffalo last week with that wall of snow and nothing in Fort Erie you have wonder how they can forecast anything  ???
