Congrats, that's an awesome car! I test drove one and was considering buying it. I would have optioned it out exactly like you did. Looking forward to the show and shine.

The show and shine is likely to be messy with the weather we're already having here but I'll do my best!

Ordered 16" steelies and General Altimax Arctics for it along with WeatherTech floor liners last night so it should be ready to go in the snow.

Little late to the party.  Congrats on the purchase. Reading your post was almost like how my thought process went.  I cross shopped the VW Golf TDI , the Wolfsburg wagon (was too pricey for me).  Briefly, considered a used 4runner as I work close, so gas wasn't an issue, and I want to tow a bit down the road.  Briefly considered the Honda Accord SE, too many things I didn't like.

I am sure I will have a GTI someday.  Just wasn't in my budget.  Strollers would take the whole trunk.  Nice colour too!  Totally jealous!

Congrats!  Looking forward to more pics - take some when you pick up to car (while it's still clean and before you put the steelies on)

Congrats!  Always wanted a GTI when I drove my old Jetta, and I still have a very soft spot for VW.     Have a blast!
