Top Picks: 2014 LA Auto Show Highlights

"Biggest Miss/Mistake – Honda HR-V

While the compact crossover space is absolutely exploding with tempting options, Honda thinks their new HR-V is going to take on all the others. But, the problem with this space is it’s based on having sharp, individualistic styling. The HR-V misses the boat in that respect and just looks like an awkward, jacked-up Fit with a face made of plastic cladding."

Preview: 2016 Honda HR-V

"In terms of design and styling, the HR-V is a winner by all accounts. It’s got smooth, sculpted curves that give it character without looking too fussy."

What ???  ???

Two different writers, two different opinions. We at autos.ca like to bring you a wide range of opinionated whinge-bags voices to help entertain and inform.

In situations like this, we use forum comments to decide who was right and who was wrong. The loser has to wash all our cars for the next month. In a bikini. Yes. In winter.

I'm most excited about Volvo's T8...it had seriously better trickle down into more than just the XC-90, though.

Imagine an V60-AWD T8.  Take my $60k right now and gimme.

Not in Canada. Can't be imported either, at least that was the case a couple of months ago. :-\

I forgot what I was going to say since my eyeballs are still stinging from looking at the Chaparral Concept. I should have looked away sooner, but it's like a horrible car accident that you can't turn away from...
