Auto insurance bill passes in Ontario Legislature

The Ontario legislature passed a bill Thursday aimed at reducing car insurance premiums an average of 15 per cent by next August from where they were in the summer of 2013.

It's usually more a case of the insurance companies reducing the payouts for damage and injuries, and then  passing on a pittance of savings to us for less coverage.  They don't actually reduce their profits, just the payouts.

Last time they wanted to save us money they simply raised the deductibles so suing for damages was not worthwhile.

It's a lousy situation in Ontario.  Forgetting your wallet and not having your DL to show to the PoPo who already have you up on their in car computer.  Ticket and then 25% insurance surcharge for 3 facking years!  So sick.

Forget all this legislation BS.  Just lift the 13% tax.
