Ewww.....it looks like a Evoque....where is the Everest?!?! Proper frame, diesel, 4x4 and seats 7, sounds a lot more appealing and looks a hell of a lot better.

Lighten up Francis.....

Yeah no, the new Explorer definitely gets a  :hurl: our of 10. I really like the Everest though...based on a Ranger.

I think that image above is an improvement over the current model. Looks a bit like Highlander meets Grand Cherokee.

The Explorer seems like another lost soul of cardom.

Ford hears ya. Ford don' care.  ;D

McDonald's is also the highest grossing restaurant...

Just looks like the boss loved the old Taurus X and wanted to revive it.

I think its silhouette is similar to the Jeep Grand Cherokee.

2.3T AWD + 4,500lbs...20/28MPG...I'm waiting for the fuel economy headlines...

After driving one for a week over all of hells half acres....you couldn't give me one....maybe to use as a partial downpayment on a Superduty or a Mustang....but to drive, no thanks.

I agree, looks better but nothing special.

Ford Exploders are the new Police Tahoe.  Ford's cutting the best deal on the Police fleets and so many jurisdictions have bought into the Ecoboost BS.

The regular Explorer is pretty work-a-day. The Explorer Sport with the 3.5L Ecoboost is quite a lot of fun.

I'm surprised by the hate for the Explorer. I'm not a fan of the styling (facelift looks a lot better IMO) but it's a large three row crossover and by most accounts it does that job well.

Obviously if you need something more capable Ford will happily sell you an Expedition.

I quite like the design but it needs a diesel.  I'm not sure why Ford is so hesitant to bring over their diesel engines since they would be a great fit in their current lineup.

The Highlander is the one to get in this segment imo.  Not for looks as they both get a meh from me in this regard. I simply think the HL is the best in the class and I wouldn't touch an Eco-Burst.

You are not alone.  Those units are on fire.  Finance rates are essentially 5%.  2 thru 6 years.  Toyota is making a killing on them.
