They paid $1000 for the thing.  If it lasts 6 months they will be happy.

They won't spend a dime fixing it.

Am I the only one here that sees $1000 cars as disposable?  If it breaks junker will give you $400 back anyways.

We got $250 for a neon with no engine.  Goes by weight.  A6 would be 300-400 depending on the day.  It's still super cheap for 6 months.

Think about a lease 6k+ a year down the tubes ;)

Yea my $1050 Odyssey is on a DNR order if the transmission goes. I may tow it home and part stuff out before I call a scrap yard to retrieve the metal, but if I get a year out of it I'm super happy. Well I'm hoping for two years. Timing belt is due in 8k though.
