Seems like the problem lies with the TIPM.  I wonder if this has been corrected since? I am interested in buying a used (post 2013) GC in the future..

How have other GC owners found their vehicles? Reliable? Not so much?

US Recall announced in September.  However, I don't see one for Canada.

I've got a '12 with 50,000 kms and have had no problems with it, but on the jeep forums there are complaints of the TIPM and other issues.  ALL vehicles will have issues (even Toyota).......

Was just wondering if it's a red flag and reason to avoid the vehicle altogether...  seems like it's not too big of a deal...

2014 was changed so shouldn't happen

I wouldn't have any issues with buying a GC. TPM is not exactly something that will make or break my buying decision. Its such a nice SUV.

saying a car is pretty good doesn't get any clicks/reads... they have to be interesting...

from what i have experienced, i'd say there have been more flashes on the gc than most of our cars. not the kind of thing that i would really cite as a reason not to purchase...

plus, this is a car they sell 150,000 of in north america each year... there are bound to be complaints.. especially considering that the customers who purchase them are usually coming from within the domestic fold.. they aren't as used to the fgc-like problems! they figure that spending more means less chance of issues... usually it's the other way around!

i averaged 10.4 during my week with one!

but my drive is made for this type of car... 95% constant speeds under 110. i would expect most drivers to be in the 12 range.
