I loved the review of these two cars, very well written, immersive and just good old fashioned fun!! Having driven the Sea-Sky a few times over the years, before and after they childproofed it, and I could only imagine what taking that lime green M4 up there would be like  The Jaguar is such a pretty car, it just....wow....like Scarlet Johanson walking into a weight watchers meeting in a bikini, this car looks so much better than most anything else there......but its a Jag, I dont know, there is just something that makes me lust after the M4, actually the M3 because 4 doors are way better, and the Jag is still just a pretty car.

...and honestly, after looking at the colours on the build-and-price website, the only one I'd like is the yellow.  The blue is too light for me, and the rest are all bland.  I don't need white/black/everyshadeofgrey in my $75k+ 'show' car (make that $75,895 with the cost of that yellow!).

I think the yellow is great, but if I had any kind of M-car i'd be tempted to go with plain black and then add an 'M' stripe graphic somewhere - maybe a thin asymmetrical one running the length of the car, or maybe just a small one like here:





On the other hand if this is really your "fun car" you could go full "eccentric playboy" and ask that Jeff Koons guy to throw up all over it.

I found the blue to be pretty stunning in person. Not a fan of the yellow one I've seen though.

M4 hands down for me. I think Jag still needs some incubator time making high performance cars in the modern era.

I also think that the F-Type is the 'it' car people must swoon over. Personally I'm not see it, especially from the the rear.

If I had seen the mustard colour swatch as an option for the M4 I'd have said no way. But this coloured car has shown up in so may reviews with so many photos that I've come to quite like it.

I think in a convertible M4 Cabriolet it would be even better.

Another way to go, a bit more subtle, the dark grey exterior with full Sakhir Orange inside. That way you can flash the color, but not inundate the landscape with it.

Bingo - saw that combo earlier this month. I had Sakhir on that GT I tested a while back. It was very nice.

Put it this way between the two cars: at Pembertone, the F-Type'd be the one to drive back into the city so everyone could fall all over it. Utterly gorgeous car - just saw a green one with black 20"s. Lovely. The M4's the one you take back up the Duffey Lake road to hit the twisties again.

M4 for me as well. The colours are great, but this thing looks awesome in black. Only problem is you'll need to hire someone to detail and wash it daily.

i would take the Jag........

razor sharp is tiring to live with day to day. 

BUT judging by the review, M4's comfortable but not razor sharp either.

I'm guessing like the last one.  BMW will be better track car, Lexus better (more liveable) street car.  465HP from 5.0L is pretty impressive and will make for fun times!
