Ron, can you recommend some top-shelf places to stay that we can look into?

The Hilton Waterfront/Riverfront is a block down the street.  There's also Hampton Suites and Holiday Inn Suites..but not directly downtown..perhaps 5 minutes out of downtown.
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

Put me in the "potentially" interested camp.  Lady Noto doesn't give me extensive notice on when I have to go down to Ithaca, so I don't know my availability as of yet.

When I went, I took the Tunnel Bus and found it to be perfectly easy to do.  There are doors right where the bus drops off/picks up, so you can wait inside.

...but limo + cigar bar + hookers sound great.  Hmmm, dilemmas.
Answer the question yes or no counsel.
Railton
"Maybe" to coming, yes to hookers.

Well if it's yes to hookers, coming should be a sure thing.

Fodder for the unhappy thread.

Lets just get regular rooms and tickets to the Hip. Fack man.
Not many seats left for the Hip, most in far back to the sides  - most tickets $71+tax for the Saturday 17th show.
I will see what rooms are available adjoining and get back to you.

Do you realize that in about 30 (updated as requested) years, we'll have millions of old ladies running around with tattoos?

I'm in, I think.

Choosing a car based on reliability is like choosing a wife based solely because she is punctual. There is more to it than that...

Anyone who wants to be in you now know the dates we're going. So if you want to join - book a room.

I'll add that I'm not sure if I'll take the train or not. If Snowman and Ted take the train I will  probably take the TL so there's room for another if that's the case. I do not want to chauffeur around Detroit though as I did that last year. That can fall to someone else.

Ted and Snowy...are you guys taking the train or is the FX still in play?
As per last years discussion in your SUV as we were making it back to YYZ; the thought was we would try the VIA train for a more releaxed and refined mode of transport to the accomodations and big show. It is not cast in stone though and the FX steed stands at the ready including border exscursions. Pens at the ready! ;)

I must have been at a different NAIAS, as I distinctly remember driving everyone around in your MDX...I drove across the border, around Detroit (with Ted riding shotgun trying to get the navigation to work), and back over the border again (you and everyone else was had been drinking/were drunk).  And the year before that too.  And the previous year also.  No one but me has ever been the chauffeur at any point in this NAIAS get together.

Or were you talking about a different NAIAS?  ???    ;D

If I end up driving the FX down I will fall on the sword and be the DD.
Snowy, are we doing the train still or driving with Vman?

Either way, we'll be taking 2 cars.  IQ and I will be ferrying ourselves in the Forester.

You can buy E-tickets, or just buy when you get there.

Last year at Detroit Infiniti brought us the Q50 Eau Rouge in it's candy apple red splendor. This year Infiniti finally brings us the new Q Coupe...or close to it anyway. Can't wait. ;D
Long time coming.

New rule...better sneak your booze in guys!!

http://blogs.windsorstar.com/news/caesars-windsor-puts-a-cork-in-outside-alcohol-at-its-hotel

Honestly, can things get any worse  ::)   What they're gonna do is remove the ice machines.  I like that place.  When I drive into the US or back that's where I park myself for the night.  I can't enjoy mixed drinks without ICE!  Very big on the ice.  And I never drink mixed drinks in a bar because it's sh*t.
