Can I insure my Ontario vehicle in Alberta before switching registration

Hey guys, so I'm moving to alberta next week from Ontario. I'm driving myself out and I was wondering if I can insure my car for Alberta before registering it in the province seeing as my Ontario policy is up at the end of July. Thanks,

You have to insure it before registering it.
