Heading up tomorrow.  Might be wet, but that's ok.  Because Quattro.

My brother will come up with me too, but will likely co-drive only.

Any videos from Saturday?  Here's one from yesterday - it was a beautiful day and the track was dry ;D

My brother lapping solo in my TT.  Can't believe I threw him the keys.  (headshake)  ;)

I'll post up a link to a couple more when I get them up on MeTube.

I like the annotations!  I think you would have guilted him into giving you his Cayman to drive if he stuffed your car into a wall :rofl2:

Yes.  I wasn't sure initially if he appreciated it, but he warmed to it when he realized that I was pulling his leg.  He drives nice and clean and was getting the apexes sorted out.

This is me chasing down a Boxster S, somewhere past the 5 minute mark.  I passed him, but not until after my GoPro filled up....just before the point-by so you can see my closing up to his bumper. The guy was definitely pushing hard trying to stay ahead of me!  The track was mostly dry by then.  I had a great time and there were only 6 or 7 cars out.  No traffic to speak of, so I made sure I timed getting on the track for when those guys went out because it's a lot more fun that way.  There were three Porsche GT3s there, too, but (and I hope they don't read this!) they weren't expertly driven so they were easy to haul in.  But....they were doing exactly the right thing by taking their cars to the track and using their cars for their intended use.  Once they learn their cars they'll wax my butt for sure!

Boost went way back to ~5 psi a couple of times on Saturday.  After I toggled the ignition, it always came back.  Searching the VW/Audi forums I'm confident that it's the famed N75 valve --> http://www.ttforum.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=166648  Simple fix.  You can see my conversation with the CMP instructor/ clerk of the course at roughly half way through.

There were quite a few more cars on Sunday (about 25, including a new white GT3 and a couple of GT-Rs).

Here's the last lap of the day.  In my feeble attempt to keep up with Doug (he laps 5 seconds faster than me), I went into Temptation a bit too hot at 11:44 :o

Nice video! A little pucker at Temptation, but you were keeping close to Doug's Vette.  Credit the great turn-in with your sticky tires and high-camber front set up w/ coilovers.  All you need is a S/C.   :-X

Had a lot of fun with AC at last track day of the year.  Did over 240km on the track in the afternoon session (no run groups).  Car felt stronger with the cool temperature.

Just bought a new set of Koni Yellow adjustable rear shocks for the TT.  The upper bushing on my RR shock was shot.  These will get put in as soon as I pick them up at the UPS store next week.

I'll pick up a front set sometime in the new year.  The rears were only $US 312.00/pair and free shipping.  Ridiculous.

Are they better than the Stasis coilovers?

I'll find out soon enough! ;)

Not really taking too big a chance since the front ones are clearly Koni adjustables since they have the Koni adjustment knob. Can't really tell if they're Reds or Yellows...but it won't matter one way or the other once I replace them. Which will be soon because on one of them the adjuster won't turn and I don't know if it is stuck on full soft or full hard.

Wow, what an improvement!  I just replaced the rear dampers on the TT with Koni Sport (yellow) adjustables.  I turned them to 1/2 way between their full soft and hard settings (they have 4 settings) before installation and have noticed that turn-in is much crisper and I can feel the rear power kicking in as the Quattro AWD portions power to the back.  Now that the rear is more settled, I can now feel that the fronts need a similar update...the only downside to the whole exercise.  But I've got three months to do it in before track season starts again.

Just bought a set of new Koni Sport adjustables for the front!  I will soon have a matched set of 4.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003620QZS/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Should have bought them a month or two ago....ie before the $CDN started circling the drain.

I can hardly wait to get them on!!
