Did you see Mythbusters..  They filled a football with helium, and the filled football was lighter than the empty football....

A helium filled car tire would be a few pounds lighter.  But the helium escapes quickly.
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

But the helium escapes quickly.

That's a big problem.

Use hydrogen.  It is easier to make yourself than helium.

With the right food supply, I could make a lot of methane.

Use tubes!

Somebody was experimenting with clear bicycle tires filled with neon gas....and when you rode the bike the heat and friction caused the tires to light up.

That's the way to go!!

Nitrogen is too mainstream. I only fill my tires with sulphur hexafluoride. It'll never, ever leak out. And it can make your voice sound like the devil. >:D

If you are really concerned about pressure loss this is a much better solution than nitrogen. Guaranteed 0% pressure loss over the life of the tire.
