Name it: Tesla Roadster & S, Nissan Leaf, Mitsubishi iMiev, Ford Focus EV, MB Smart EV, Chevrolet Volt, Chevrolet Spark EV, Ford Fusion Energi, C-Max Energi, Toyota Prius plug-in, Cadillac ELR, VIA Trux + EV boat, Boloré BlueCar, Fisker Karma, ZENN, Ford ranger EV, Porshe 911 EV conversion, Volkswagen Golf EV convert, etc.

Also many EV motorcycle build in Québec but they were not part of the 431 vehicles

The good news.  Gasoline prices are driven by supply and demand.  If perhaps 30% of the cars on the road were electric it would cause a major drop in gas prices. 

Bad news? Pulling the flat 6 out of a 911 for anything else is morally wrong.

Yesterday was our Guinness world record attempt "largest parade of electric vehicles".
I must say the parade was something very unusual because the circuit they choose made us 1) crossing every other participants,2) in a total silence and a lot smiling (grim) peoples along the way!

431 EVs parade

Met a fellow Smart Electric Drive owner at the store on the weekend.  Powers his car (and home) from 7KW solar array on his roof. 

He had a white convertible,  the only current EV to come in a drop-top.

Saw a volt today, getting more and more common here in GTA.

I REGULARLY see Tesla Model Ss on the 401 - literally all over.  I see them also around Yorkville, Thornhill, and Guelph.

I do almost daily see Volts as well, but they usually just make me yawn.  I very infrequently see a Leaf here or there.  I've seen a Fisker Karma once, surprisingly not engulfed in flames - wait, that's not a pure EV either!

Never seen the others on the list except at auto shows.

Electric cars seem to be everywhere here in Montreal.  I've seen literally half a dozen Fisker Karmas, more Teslas than I can count on my fingers and toes and Volts aplenty.  The newest trend seems to be the ELR.  I've seen two in black and one in what is likely a custom deep maroon. 

There's even the local idiot around my place that tries to keep up with traffic on the highway with his iMiEV and gums things up pretty bad.

The iMiEV top speed is 130KM/h.  Really?
My Smart ED top speed is 140KM/h.  It takes 50% of the total power available to drive at this speed, about 28KW, so I can drive at this speed for about 40 minutes...never done that, as my Smart is purely for my city commute...

It's not the car...it's the choice of the driver. 

In a Smart ED, normal ICE cars would have trouble catching it from light to light, as it's <4 seconds to the speed limit (55KM/h).
