Which map program would you download, since we will not be connect to any cellular network
It will be use in the Mediterranean

I'll try out the GPS today and get back to you. You used to be able to download Google Maps itself, not sure if you can now

You could download google maps but you are limited to 100MB I believe, but you can download chunks that you need.

There are a few programs but none of them are free, they are like $50-$100 so then you may as well buy a GPS unit.  Navigon is a good one.

Tried it out. You have to go over a certain area you'd like to download, say/type "OK maps" into search bar and it will download. Not sure about restrictions.

There are also a few free navigation apps not sure how good they are, but if you're going to big cities/common POI it should be fine

I have an 8" version and LOVE it. I have a fantastic case and a great stylus for it. I nabbed the tab on sale for $225.  Really tough to best for that price and does everything i need. Great device!

I have Google Maps mine.
