Finding out a local corner store, recently taken over by a young Korean family, is now mostly a science store and has a good selection of Mecanno toys and Tamiya models and supplies.  They also have a bunch of other neat stuff for kids.  I remember Mecanno as being my favorite type of toy when I was a kid.  They were hard to find around here even in those days.  We bought a package for our 6 year old nephew for Xmas.  I'd like to get the huge USS Enterprise aircraft carrier they have in stock by Tamiya for myself for my wife and I for Xmas.  :D  In fact they have several large warship models and lots of car models as well.

I want the Galaxy Class USS Enterprise!

It does look pretty awesome!

Dinner at my sister's with my nieces, bro-in-law, and my parents.  Nothing like being surrounded by my family at this difficult time in order to raise my spirits.  Mom has to go back to Newfoundland tomorrow, but Dad is sticking around until Wednesday.
I'd rather be car-poor than house-poor...

Nothing like family.  Grandfather is going back to Spain (lives with my Mom) on Saturday.  Had a big get together at my Aunt's 18 of us, had to bring 4 folding chairs.  Fit fine, horizontally or length wisein the Mazda6, of course they could go horizontally when I had the Mazda5.

Good news. Nothing like family to help regain one's bearings and restore strength (physically and emotionally).

It warmed up and all the snow melted  :D (let's just ignore the fact that it's going back to freezing tomorrow).

Also getting excited for my garage lift to be delivered on Saturday.

bo...nus?... what is this bo-nus you speak of?

glad you have some support scaerio. very important.

for me, going to the ti-cats game yesterday with my nephew sister and brother-in-law... good time with family and a win to boot! even was able to choke down a few beers after a night of drinking like an idiot with my buddies... nice to take some time off from looking after everyone for a night... my wife disagrees!
i used to be addicted to soap, but i'm clean now

Finally finding a place to live. Bonus is how easy it will be for me to get out of the city (Cambridge) to do some road work on the bike. Now need to find a good hill or two close by for my hill repeats.
