You're right!   :rofl2:  Although if someone had been really interested, they would have asked.  Same area as you, basically.  The kid was from Campbellville, and we met halfway.

I would have bought it if I was working, I just have the Canon Rebel T1i, with 2 others lenses, one being the telephoto.  Need the wide angle, and another flash.  Not in a hurry though...

Honestly, on your camera (and mine), the Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 gets you more bang for your buck, if you're after wide.  The crop factor was a hindrance with this 17-40mm.  I always found it lacking, but it's my camera's fault, not the lens.  I also had good results with the Sigma 10-22mm when I went to Europe (borrowed from a friend).  Of course, nothing matches Canon's L glass, but I've still got my 24-105mm L for that.  It rarely comes off my camera anymore.

Kid who bought it has a full-frame 6D, and we walked around for a bit so he could test it.  He was absolutely thrilled.

Well thanks for the tips, I have the efs 55-250mm from my brothers Canon 60D, he practically gave it to me, and replaced it with some L lens.  So hopefully he can give me a flash, as he is always upgrading.. I really need to use mine more. Tough when you have little ones around, you don't want to have it out.  Just the compact one...

Yeah, having kids around can be a little tricky with delicate gear.  I recently learned that my departed dad was into photography when we were young, and I suddenly remembered being a part of his "photo shoots" with a light blue Sears comforter as a backdrop for us kids.   :rofl2:  Can't tell you where he kept the camera, or if I even tried to play with his stuff.  I'm pretty sure he put it in a safe place to keep us away from it.
