I drove a Fit EX-L yesterday and although it wasn't a long ride, here are a few observations:
-The car is well built and fit, finish and materials are good for the class of car.
-The pleather is not a good imitation of real leather, so skip it.
-The driving position is good, as is visibility.
-With the front seat adjusted to my setting, I could sit behind myself comfortably.
-The CVT is actually quite livable and seems to imitate a conventional automatic. The flappy paddles make this even more pronounced, but I doubt they would be used much.
-The ride is much better than that of my 2008.
-There is no droning from the CVT. Floor it in D and it goes right to the torque peak and stays there, with no rubber band feeling.
Overall, this is a great city car with lots of room, flexibility and it is cheap to run. I would go for the LX model, the EX-L at $24,000 is not worth it and you get heated seats in the LX anyway.
