Local dealer says Xmas is more likely than this summer.

Fit aka Jazz is an affordable and fuel economy car from Honda, however since Honda plan to launch Vezel aka HR-V, people would choose HRV than Fit although they comes for different segmen

I am actually looking more forward to seeing/ driving the new Honda HR-V, the little CUV based on the Fit. Should be out around the same time.

If the Fit is behind, I suspect that will be even more so.  As we have pricing on the Fit, but the HR-V, nothing.  Can't see myself ever driving one of those things, or a Buick Encore.  I know it's popular to sit high, but I don't go with the flow....

somebody asked that on Honda's Facebook page and this was the answer

We're looking at a winter release date for the HRV. Keep checking our Facebook page for updates!

To reweld the bumper to get it up to an acceptable rating for the small offset crash test to match the Fits built after June 2015.

Seems like the Americans got their 2015s for a little while now. Why is the Canadian rollout so delayed?

The EX-L trim seems nice, but unfortunately it's too narrow. Shoulder room is ok at 1336mm but hip room at 1145mm wide is inadequate for putting three car/booster seats across. Our car seats are on average 440mm wide.

Which wasn't really a recall.  Honda voluntarily did it to get the top safety pick they wanted.

Called up local Honda Dealer at Oakville asking if they have the 2015 Fit, got an eager salesman on the line wanting to take down my number and details. He said that they are expecting them anytime, he promised to call back as soon as they arrive.

I drove a Fit EX-L yesterday and although it wasn't a long ride, here are a few observations:

-The car is well built and fit, finish and materials are good for the class of car.

-The pleather is not a good imitation of real leather, so skip it.

-The driving position is good, as is visibility.

-With the front seat adjusted to my setting, I could sit behind myself comfortably.

-The CVT is actually quite livable and seems to imitate a conventional automatic. The flappy paddles make this even more pronounced, but I doubt they would be used much.

-The ride is much better than that of my 2008.

-There is no droning from the CVT. Floor it in D and it goes right to the torque peak and stays there, with no rubber band feeling.

Overall, this is a great city car with lots of room, flexibility and it is cheap to run. I would go for the LX model, the EX-L at $24,000 is not worth it and you get heated seats in the LX anyway.
