Nice ride, I really like the color. Seems from the experiences around here you got the right powerplant!!
Lighten up Francis.....

The '11 def stayed in 6th gear easier when pulling, my trailer weighs around what your horse trailer weighs.  Probably closer to 6000 with water and all the stuff inside it.  I should pull on a scale one day to find out for sure.  It's about 5300 empty if I'm not mistaken, it's on the sticker right?

I bet you'd be surprised if you put it on a scale.

Our trailer is supposed to be 3,500 lbs empty, and was over 7,000 loaded when I weighed it. Granted, we had 750 lbs of motorcycles in the back, but that means there was still over 2,500 lbs of other stuff in there. And yes, all of the tanks were empty.

Propane tanks, propane, optional air conditioning, pots, pans, dishes, cutlery, food, cans of pop, beer, clothes, towels, lawn chairs, kids' bikes, barbecue, dog food, etc., etc... None of that stuff is included in the trailer empty weight spec. and it adds up fast.

I initially ordered Blue Flame but ultimately ended up with the same colour - Sterling Grey.  I've been very happy with it so far, and hope you will be too.

Thanks AP.  I bet I will be.

The colour is growing on me.  I like it better in the XTR than I did on the 300A package.  I assume it is chrome bits that set off the grey.  I really wanted the blue flame or the ruby red, but this was the only 302A package without factory extras that I didn't want to pay for, and due to a write-off of our previous tow vehicle, I needed it right away.

Been wanting one for ages, the stars finally aligned:

5.0, 5-1/2' bed, tow package.

Excellent!

You shouldn't be getting any gas in the oil.  That's a serious problem if that's what's happening.

Yo Blunderwriter:  My inefficient 5.0 yielded high 10s on a 160 km highway drive today.  While I'm gloating, I will also report having checked the oil...without having detected gasoline in the crankcase.  I predict that you - like me - will eventually make the leap back to N/A.

Oooohhh snap

Call me crazy, isn't gas in the crank case a BIG FRIGGIN' DEAL?!?!

I'd be contacting the dealer AND sending the oil out for analysis.  Also are you leasing?  If so, I wouldn't be buying that one out.

Yes it is.   Engine damage is very possible and turbo damage is almost guaranteed.

Drove to NC and back from Ontario last weekend.  Through mountains from South of Pittsburgh until Pilot Mountain, NC.  The 5.0 averaged 11.1 for the trip, 12.6 over 4,600 KMs, since I started tracking it on Fuelly.

It is fantastic to be able to drive 12 hours on a tank of fuel.  Wifey loved the back-seat, lots of room for napping.
