Leatherique
« on: July 17, 2013, 01:17:19 pm »
For anyone wanting to give their leather interior a good overhaul, I would highly recommend using Leatherique products.  I use both the rejuvenator oil and their pristine clean once every three months or so, with another leather conditioner once a month.  Leatherique isn't the cheapest products out there, but they are worth every penny.

The rejuvenator oil is amazing at bringing out the dirt, grime, air pollution, toxins etc from the leather.  I'm amazed every time I use it.   :o   And the Pristine Clean is absolutely the best leather conditioner that I've ever used.  I applied this yesterday while it was hot out and took a before and after pic......although I don't think pics actually do it justice.

What would these products do for a well-worn family room chair and sofa - same amazing results?

While I do use Leatherique on all of my leather sofas, it doesn't provide the same amazing results.  I always wait for a hot day to do the seats in the S2000 and keep the roof and windows up.  It's the heat that draws out all of the toxins, dirt, grime, etc when the rejuvenator oil is applied.  You won't have that same sauna like heat when you apply it to your leather sofa in your house.  But don't get me wrong though, it still works fabulous on leather furniture though.

it's too bad that it's better to do in the heat... because i am not dealing with dark leather in this heat. i would need so much beer that i would be hammered.

looks good though.
i used to be addicted to soap, but i'm clean now

It's extremely easy to apply and takes only seconds.  Simply spray the rejuvenator oil on your leather seats, let sit in the sun for a few hours, apply pristine clean with a clean MF towel, and done.   :)

Leatherique used to have furniture pics at their website, but they don't anymore.   ???  They were pretty impressive.

Railton could put his sofa in the sun....or barring that, I've heard of people "baking" their stuff with halogen work lights up close.

Some people wrap the seat in Saran wrap before they put it in the sun.  Have you tried that before?
