Should I rust proof now?  Or late fall?

Agree with tortoise. Spring/ early summer is when Krown recommends it, because corrison starts when the weather warms up. And then touch up yourself in the fall.

Miatas going to Krown next month.

Thanks Tortoise/Julie.  Never had it done, and pretty sure the Mazda5 will be around for awhile.  If I were to substitute any vehicle down the road it would be the Odyssey.  Mazda5 is cheap to insure, cheap to run, good cargo room, and decent on gas.  So I want to keep it around as long as possible.

Swapped to summer tires on the 2. Ripped out most of the left over stereo wiring from the Spitfire's dashboard.

Ordered an exhaust and intake for the new Porsche...

Did I miss that it's passed the rrrrrrron inspection and is home, or on it's way?

I'm getting a 911 either way...so I'll need these parts one way or another.

I fly down next Thurs./Fri.  Didn't want to travel this weekend with it being a holiday.
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

Saab still parked, waiting for the relay. Took the time to wash it and clean it up.

Alfa was in for axle bearing and tranny fluid change to Redline. :censor: to do the fluid, but its done [needs a slight top up though]

Axle bearing was not doable as the axle nut needed a thinner 36mm ratchet that we did not have. And taking off the diff housing was going to be a pain...so that will have to wait and continue to slowly leak tranny fluid...

Booking a dyno session with Lentech here in Ottawa to get a baseline before I start down the engine modding route. Would like 200hp to the wheels after I am done.
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

Oil change and rear diff fluid change on the V tonight.  $18/L for the dual pump II fluid for the rear.  Pricey, but only takes 1.25L.
Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives.

What did the tranny fluid change run you if you don't mind me asking?  Did they drop the pan or how do they perform the change?

I paid for fluid only, my brother did all the work.
No need to drop the pan, but the tranny procedure is a wild one because it has no dipstick, it looks like this:
- drain it first (drain plug),
- put in 4L of trans oil through the fill plug,
- put trans into temp sensing mode: short two pins on OBDII connector (4-13 I think), start the truck, move gear lever to D and keep switching from D to N until "D" light cams on for 2 sec and turns off, put trans in P and wait for "D" light to come on again - this means the trans oil is between 36-46C (again, I think that's the range),
- if "D" light starts flashing the temp is above 46C - too hot,
- open overfill plug on the trans - this will remove the excess oil - until the oil trickles down, close the plug,
- that's it. Easy eh?

I think I've got all the steps, google it to make sure if you'd like to do it yourself.  I'm sure the dealer can simply connect the truck to the diagnostic comp and read the temp instead.

Hmmm, never read about that procedure before, interesting.   Thanks for the info.
