Ha ha, I should have at least took a picture of it.  It was awful.

Based on my own opinion and everyone else's I'll be painting the center caps!

With a spray bomb/brush.  ::)

What a terrible idea.  It will chip and peel and look like *ss.

Looks first rate now.

Have to agree with AS here,.....unless you sand, prime, sand, paint, sand, paint, sand and paint.... don't bother.

^I'll also agree with these two. Either get your BIL to do the center caps the same way he did the rims (which look excellent btw) or leave them alone, or run without them (which is what I might opt to do).

Thought about running without them, but think the hub would look like ass uncovered.  I could just pop one of to have a look though.

Anyway, thanks for all your thoughts.

So I re-applied RainX yesterday to the Corolla.  I still maintain that it's a PITA to ensure that you thoroughly clean all windows first, then apply RainX, then reapply once dry, then buff off.  All the applications are fine, but perfectly buffing the windows to eliminate all cloudiness is truly an exhausting process - and that's on a Corolla.  I couldn't imagine bothering to reach and put it on the RX400h - I could never reach the middle of the windshield  :-\

With that being said, every time water/rain/whatever just runs right off my glass, I swoon and remember that it's all worth it.  Lasts 2-3 months depending on wiper use.  I truly love the stuff.

...since this is the "what did you do to your car today" thread, I will add that today, I further buffed each window to get the areas that I missed last night.  RainX is very difficult to apply in the dark ;D

I think your Taco needs some Hercules tires to handle the slightly damp pavement.  Inflate to 50psi and you'll never have spinning issues again.

Very well...then I think you need to speak to Fob and have your Taco modded heavily for no apparent reason.  I hear he can do an STI turbo swap for $5k!  ;D

My summer tires are pretty much shot, I roasted the tires several times recently before putting my winters on.

took my SHO to the dealer today...time to put on the winter tires, do an oil change and they will look into a small squishy noise coming from the front suspension.

Then what fun would that be?  The Dunlops on the Odyssey squeal pretty easily.  And they have lots of tread left.

Got Michelin Pilot Super Sport installed on my wife's car.  The ride is so much better than with the run-flats.  Also got the same tires installed on a second set of rims on the FR-S for daily driving and tracking in the rain.

Got them from a friend of mine (MCO driving instructor) that just opened a tire shop.  It's great to have someone who takes as much car as I would if I could do it myself  :)

Touch-less tire changer and very slick balancer.

Not my car but I put new rear brake pads and winter wheels and tires on my girlfriend's mother's '09 Mazda 6 V6.
