Yeah, but you live in lower rubber boot  :P I'm very happy here, will probably never leave the gold coast  :)

You live too close to Toronto.  I'd be able to smell the stench... :rofl2:

Beats the rot of Detroit  :)

Toronto is the Detroit of Ontario.  So no difference.

lol....how many cranes in the Detroit skyline?

Detroit doesn't build condo's that nobody wants... ;D  That's TO's game.

Money talks BS walks  :) Can't even walk in Detroit after the suns sets.

Had no idea you were in Detroit. Guess I have to stick up for Snowy a bit. As I am less than 20km from him.

This is Detroit:

I wonder why Cadillac is moving HQ?

Toronto and Detroit are both dumps.

I prefer to live near a small dump (Detroit) rather than a big dump (TO).   ;D

I think I've gotta side with Ron on this one....My job is the only thing that keeps me in the GTA, if I could do what I do here anywhere else (in North America at least) I wouldn't think twice about moving.

I got my rebuilt Forester alternator back after practically begging a rebuilder to take a try at it.  Much to my surprise, the stator wasn't wound with unicorn hair and the bearings weren't greased with the fat of pixies.  Even the rebuilder said he was a bit surprised...he said internally it's nearly identical to the alternator on a Neon.  Both units being Mitsubishi sourced.  Turnaround time was less than 24 hours and the cost was $150.  The alternator looks old and corroded....and now looks nearly new again.

He did a great job.

Out of curiosity, are they all rebuilt/remanufactured.  Rock Auto shows a Mitsubishi sourced alternator for the same price.  No new ones?

You can get good new ones (Denso, Mistsubishi) but they are big money.  Or you can get new ones from China...about $110 USD.

What's the problem with that. ???    Mustang GTs come with Chinese manuals.  :shuffle:

Nothing, really.  $110 USD.  Add in $10 shipping.  Exchange brings it to ~$135 USD.  PST+GST bring it to $150 CDN.  Or what I paid for my rebuild.

I'm guessing frequent travels across dirt roads. You literally have to wash the car every day if you want to keep it clean

Some cars have a small gap which allows the build-up

This, I take a gravel road to and from work everyday.....wash the truck at least once a week but it can't be helped.
