I'd be telling them to get a me new door....With my luck a repaint would only last as long as the warranty/dealer goodwill that's covering it.

T45 Torx bit and go by a dealer late at night..... ;D  ;)

thought it was a T50 for the doors?

the other issue is that anvil is apparently a colour that body shops don't have the right mixes for... they say it might not match right, hence his last fix just being down through the clear coat...

so frustrating...
i used to be addicted to soap, but i'm clean now

Replaced the original battery and positive cable terminal.  Battery purchased at Costco.  I've had to regularly clean the posts as corrosion was terrible on the positive terminal, I think the battery may have had a slow leak??  Anyway, the original terminal end literally broke apart when pulling it from the battery it was so corroded.  Hopefully the corrosion stops now.

Added a little gadget so that the Q5 hatch door could be closed from the remote and the internal switch.  Two minutes to do that and the wiring and 20+ minutes fiddling with the trim. I even had to get mrs tpl out to help with that. Audi claim safety for insisting that you can only close the hatch by standing right beside it and presing the button on the hatch.
Day before, fitted a purpose made plastic guard to the rear bumper which was getting a bit dinged from continually hauling the walker in and out.  Cannot imagine why this should not have been a standard fitting on the car.

Both parts came from the Audi aftermarket in the US.

I'd already found and fitted bi-convex outside mirrors...much cheaper than buying the Technik package on the car which included blind spot warning. Not to mention that the mirrors plus the Mk1 eyeball are far more reliable than electronics...this is an FGC after all.

The last things that would make me 110% happy with the Q5 would be:
Amber rear indicators...easy but the light units cost €700 the pair which is nearly $1000!!!
APR stage 1  not good for the warranty.
