This car is in the same league as weird vehicles like Honda Element and Fiat 500. In what department? You bet it - it's a just four passenger car.

I was one of those people that wasn't to keen on the PP but have grown to like it somewhat. It does seem that the car has some great driving merits as expected but has some ergonomic flaws. I wonder is this is just a cultural thing and/or a bit of arrogance from Porsche regarding other markets. No cup holders but plenty of ashtrays ?

Glad you mentioned what I have noted many times:
"Would I buy this car? For this money, probably not. You could buy a nice 911 and a nice SUV for this price, and get the best of both worlds. "

If I was in this snack bracket, I'd be tempted to purchase a Tesla model S as it has a better look to me as opposed to looking like a limo version of a 911.

Agreed, although obviously never likely spend $150k on a sedan.

If I had a $150k to spend on cars, I'd buy a Cayman S and an E350 4matic wagon.  But for those who's actual budget for 1 sedan is $150k (aka they already have an SUV, 2-door, etc), there aren't many more compelling 4 doors.

S7/S8, 750i, S63, etc...

I think I'd choose the Porsche.

Agree completely.  I think I'd come down on the Porsche side of the fence, but it would be close.  It definitely does not suck to actually face such a dilemma!

Yup, same here.  I've always been a fan of the Panamera.  It would be a really tough decision choosing this or the Quattroporte! 

Btw, that Panamera in red looks hawt!!!!

I'd love to be in a position to debate which $150,000 car to choose for my daily commute. But the Panamera would be right up there. It's been around a few years and it's aging very well.

I'll join the flock with a me too for the Panamera. Performance-oriented sedans make so much sense to me in the real world – comes down to style preferences and personal bias between performance and luxury. For 150 I like the Porsche sedans over the other Germans...although I would go for a spin in the S63 before deciding. I'd also shop a more base Panamera against the CLS, S7 and that new BMW gran coupe.

While the car is technological marvel and the drivetrain is amazing, the looks just kill it for me. For this kind of money, and for some upper crust hoonery, Id take an AMG CLS63......and permanently shut the TC/ESP off

Not a great picture from my BB...but here is my dad's.  The PDK transmission is mind-blowing.  It's no wonder the manual transmission's days are numbered!  The way it blips the throttle on down-shifts and barks would never get old.

I'm the opposite.  I love the looks of the Panamera and would take it in a heartbeat over a AMG CLS63.  The AMG wouldn't even be a consideration.

The sidewalk goes nowhere and ends just outside the frame.  Open lot to the left, vacant model home to the right.  We both got our new cars that day so I left mine on the driveway and dad parked behind.  We were there long enough to snap a pic before going for a ride.
