If this were Top Gear they probably would have thrown a Lada Niva into this test for sh!ts and giggles.  It was the world's first car-based SUV...  ;)
I'd rather be car-poor than house-poor...

It wouldn't destroy the engine.  As soon as it came off the engine went onto limp mode and told us to pull over when safe.  Like I sad before, we've had far more serious issues with more GM vehicles

There, fixed it for ya  ;)
Did you mean the XTS, when you couldn't get it because the doors won't open?

No, I mean BMW, Mercedes, Porsche and others

The caddy opened, just not with the buttons.

Ahh, yes, when comparing a Chevy to these Paragons of German Quality and Reliability, getting towed in a practically new car is just peachy-keen.

The problem one poster here had with his new Chevy is another "one off" I am sure. This is because unlike The Old GM (tm) The New GM (tm) cars are the picture of perfection.
I'd never join a group that would have me as a member.

If I had to, the Niva would be my pick amongst this crowd.......

Years ago, I saw a Lada display at the Tillicum Mall in Victoria. Every Niva had a pan under its leaky front differential.

Trax - sounds like a Transformer name (being from GM also helps

I can almost see it being in the next Transformer movie.
Autobots transform and roll out...
