Interestingly the test car MSRPs about 10k more than a similarly equipped E Class.
Mercedes has been VERY aggressive lately with their pricing. And pricing in this segment is lower than ever. In 1998, my E300 turbo had a base of $59,900 and $67,900 for the E320 gas car. Sixteen years ago an E-Class was more expensive than it is today!!
Wow! Having just finished the cost / value component of the comparison test Jacob spoke of above, I know the Benz is a great value, but that really puts it into perspective. Well done M-B.
