Come on Ron, stop drooling all over the place and go for it. When you will be 80 years old it will be too late.. ;)

I love that it was stored indoors...in the living room.

Me too. Reminds me of when we were building my buddy's Harley in his kitchen.

I know fack all squared about motor bikes.  But I know cool when I see it.

Yes!  I sure as hell wouldn't want to own one (not old enough for a cruiser yet), but damned that thing is cool.  Gotta hope I get to find one in a press fleet next season.

Another convert....

http://www.motorcycledaily.com/2014/08/2014-ktm-690-duke-md-ride-review/

Some odd comments in the peanut gallery section:
Quote
The KTMs suspenders are not that good. The KTMs light weight was what appealed to me, however, it all but refused to run below 3500rpm and then started to vibrate so much above 4500rpm I rarely wanted to go there.
I find the suspension well sorted, and power/torque seems quite available from down low on up to redline. Sure it's not inline-4 smooth but I don't get numb-butt nor numb-hands... no issues on mine running low, and it has a really usable 1st gear.

I'd probably have a hard time picking between the KTM and the FZ9.  The Yammie's engine is so, so, so addicting.

Despite my aversion to having clothing stinking like exhaust I'm thinking about one of these conversion   :D

^^ Looks nice. Why would your clothing stink like exhaust?

I had a WR250R with the high-mount exhaust and even though it had a catalytic converter and got 76-80 MPG my clothes still stunk like exhaust. I assume it's a "feature" of high-mount and undertail exhausts.

Moto-Guzzi V7 Racer

I was of the same mind after the bike show... but over the summer I've seen two or three of them in the area.  Suddenly the one-of-a-kind looks aren't so cool when you see yourself with the same number 7 pre-fab cafe racer coming at you.

I'd choose the V7 Stone and make a few basic cosmetic changes.

PS.. that thing has a huge fuel tank = incredible range.

I don't find the Guzzi aesthetically pleasing in the least.

Oddly enough, I ran into a coworker today who currently has a WR250R, and he smells exactly the same as I did after riding mine.

And, to comply with the spirit of the thread, we have this:
