So  BMW 1-Series regular with ICE - Unladen weight EU in kg 1,375 [1,395]
BMW 1-Series electric weighs in at                               1,819 kg.

The difference is 444kgs. That's a lot of battery. I'm sure that this can be negligible soon with upcoming battery technology.

Sorry man, that's an infringement on Honda's Earth Dreams.  :nono: Honda is the stuff dreams are made of, BMW has to be made into something else.

Ok Northernridge, just admit it you were dieing to tie in "Honda's Earth Dreams" somehow and became very elated when this opportunity arose.  :popo:
Ya I admit it, stupid marketing by billionaire companies with better marketing access irks me also.

Sorry to be pedantic,  ;):D but i believe that is 444 KG..  which is just 20 lbs short of a 1000 pounds.

Strange that they would opt to cut down the trunk space to make room for the battery.  With the motor mounted in the rear, what's occupying all the space up front in the (former) engine bay?  (I'm thinking of Tesla's frunk here)
