Reception like a Porsche or BMW, if what you meant is perception, by the vast amount of the know nothing about cars John Q. Public, no, will it show its tailights to any model from those two manufacturers, yes.
The GT-R may not be a household name for performance among the older, non-enthusiast boomer and older crowd, but everyone who's ever played a video racing game or read a car magazine knows it and at least respects it, if doesn't completely go nuts for it. And despite Porsche's respected tradition, you won't get people whipping out camera phones or gathering around it in a parking lot... it's too 'been there, done that'... the GT-R is rare and special, and has, quite possibly an even more passionate following than Porsche... I love Porsches and all, but the GT-R blows my mind—that much performance, for that little money... and i love how it simply doesn't give a flying piston for refinement or delicacy—it's just perfect in it's rawness and all the noises and clunks and roughness it has, much like a Mustang.
and yeah, this is an easy lottery pick.
