I dont understand Fords thinking, Focus Focus wagon sold well, there was tons of them out there and we still see them kicking around.

Absolutely, and that argument has been made on this thread on a number of occasions.  Fordinsidenews CLAIMED the wagon was a go for NA, but that was a year ago, from an "inside source", and no confirmation or update since.  In other words, a load of BS.

I think it's a slam-dunk business case, as the "one ford" strategy should enable very cost-effective Focus wagon production in NA.  No need to certify any new powertrains.  My guess is that Ford execs think Focus wagon buyers would migrate to either the Focus hatch, or the C-Max or the Escape if they really need more room, so not offering the wagon won't cost them many sales.  I'd strongly consider the Focus hatch, but the wagon would be a no-brainer if offered.  Especially in ST trim! ;D  But honestly, just start with the base wagon, and see how sales go.

To be fair, Ford did listen to consumers and is going to offer the Focus Titanium with a stick.  Maybe they'd listen about the wagon too?  And if GM wants to beat them to the punch with the Cruze wagon, hallelujah.  But I'm not holding my breath.

I want one...

Juke1, you can option a Focus SEL to be almost a Titanium, sans parallel park assist (which wouldn't work with a manual transmission anyway), cool wheels, and black trim headlights, among a couple other minor things.

We are too limited in our options here in NA for wagons -- we need more wagons of all sizes please.

If this wagon maintained the fuel efficiency of the sedan, we could see an incredible cargo capacity to MPG ration- and it looks hot, too.

Hell, offer it with the standard Cruze engines (no diesel needed, too costly), and it would compete with the Focus wagon nicely.

Edit: Are we getting the Focus wagon?  ???

Are we getting the C-Max?

5 seat Hybrid or electric only

Are you serious?
Bad on ford if that's what they do.

The photo reminds me of the Optra, and that's not a good thing.

The Optra wasn't a bad looking vehicle. The quality was a bit suspect and it wasn't supported by GM making it an orphan but was ok looking.

It's public...they have the C-Max with the two versions they intend to sell on their US and Canada websites. I had a look at the C-Max and it looks like a very practical and handy vehicle to have around. I do wonder what the price tag will be seeing as it is only Hybrid and Energi (plug-in Hybrid) versions coming to North America.
