My latest purchase idea.... Audi A4
« on: February 03, 2012, 02:15:40 pm »
The local Audi dealership (well the only audi dealership in Newfoundland) has a certified used 2009 Audi A4 Quattro with 28,000 km for $33,900, both winter and summer tires included.  It was a lease buy out.  Since its certified used it has bumper to bumper warranty until June 2015 or 160,000 km.  I'm sure they would drop the price a couple thousand, I test drove the vehicle and think it is great.

Of course I still have to sell the Pilot which I just reposted on Kijiji at 14,900:

 http://stjohns.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-cars-trucks-2007-Honda-Pilot-EX-SUV-New-Brakes-and-Winter-Tires-W0QQAdIdZ351743435

Have to see how it all goes, anyone have any experience or advice with the redesigned in 2009 Audi A4???

Thanks

good idea, hammy.

the warranty should provide some piece of mind.

love the vw A.G. co's interiors... especially Audi's.

2.0T?  the engine's been around for a while.   but be aware that some of them experience carbon deposit issues.   and a lot of the dealers don't fix it unless the car experiences drivability problems, apparently.

on opinion on the pilot sale.  good luck, though.

The cleaning is $200 had mine done when it misfired.

The extended warranty is nice. And costs quite a bit of money otherwise $4-5k.

What will be interesting is to see if anything ever actually ends up in "show and shine" as "the new car". I thought I was all over the place when I was car shopping but I can't hold a candle to Hammy. ;D

I am having so much fun, it would all end if I actually bought something! ;D

Although I think this is the closest I have been except for the rebuilt Infiniti!

Better than the pervious ones.

I'm sure they would drop the price a couple thousand,

Really, try $500.

Of course I still have to sell the Pilot which I just reposted on Kijiji at 14,900:

OK, here's what you do.  Tomorrow morning, at opening, you attend the Audi dealer with the Pilot and your cheque book and say "here ya go, it's in fantastic shape but I'm sick of it, and as you know I've had it on Kijji, but have asked too much because I'm just cheap by nature.  Tell me how much I owe you and lets get this deal done by lunch.  You're talking to the new HAMMY!"

I do know what you mean. With both cars less than a year old I'm out of the car shopping business for a while. I thought I might be used car shopping for number 2 daughter this spring but after we found out what her writing off the Mini has done to her "insurability" that plan is on hold :(

I guess I'll just have to live vicariously through people like you and Brigitte!  ;D

Hammy, I had a dream last night.  I saw a used Honda Pilot, Newfoundland, Mike Holmes and Asbestos.  High in the sky was Stephen Harper smiling.  Weird I know, but blend it all up and it's telling me .... HAMMY, IT'S TIME to GO to the NEXT LEVEL.

Go to the Audi guys tomorrow, bend over the desk, and take it like a BRO.  Pull up your pants, drop the cheque on the desk along with the keys to the Pilot and drive away in that A4 in ECSTASY (which will last about a week).

As to your specific question:  SEE ABOVE  :)

You could always get a toy car.  ;D

Seriously, that's why I'm trying to space out my car buying a little. I need to keep buying at regular intervals, LOL.  I'm also lucky because my husband doesn't care - so I pick his too!   :rofl2:

Hammy, if your Pilot still has a broken air conditioner that will cost a still-undetermined amount to fix, $14,999 still sounds like too much to me. But I ain't no car dealer. :)

I agree with Jaeger's suggestion. One thread will be easier for us to follow.
