If we are talking in the US, the 2nd one is one of the few I would bet money on becoming a collector car.  The GNX is like gold down there now and I am sure in 1987 there were just as many detractors as there are for the Regal GS.   :-\

You really think so Mike?  The GNX was a performance legend back then.....the Regal GS today not so much.  I remember back when I was in high school I always wanted a GNX....man I loved that car.

I agree with some of the choices in the article (Camaro, Mustang, GT-R, Porsche, Charger) but a couple of them I definitely don't.  A Cherokee?  Really?

lol, I agree the GNX is better, but some Americans get teary-eyed over 'halo' editions of certain cars.  Even low mileage Impala SS models from the mid-90's are stating to pull in money and they weren't anything too special (although I did like them)

From that list I'd say the Camaro, the Mustang, and the GTR.  The Regal...really???

Yeah, the GNX was pulling 0-60 in 4.5 seconds when almost everything else was in the 5-6 second range. The GS isn't that kind of standout.

Yup, it was one of the biggest kick azz cars of the 80s.....which is why I wanted one so much.  I had to settle for a Mustang instead.....and it wasn't even a cool 5.0L.  :(

Boss 302?  Yup. I'd love two.  One to flog, one to wrap up and put away.  Others?

GT-R Black?  Same as above.

Not on the list?  If I could score the last Honda S2000's to have rolled off the line, I'd love to keep it.

Corvette ZR-1. Gimme two as well.

Lexus LF-A?  Yup, gimme two.  So damned expensive, it might not be worth more than MSRP in time, but just too awesome not to want a pair.
No place I'd rather be...

I'd say the current Miata is likely to be collectable in the same way a MG B or TR6 is now.
