That RDX looks like a huge improvement to me.
Drove the RDX a few times and was left with the impression 'what is this thing trying to be?'  Handled well for a CUV-thing & pretty good power from the turbo-4 albeit in an on-off sort of way, but rode pretty rough.  Not much cargo capacity either, really.  So,, sort of a sporty vehicle, sort of a CUV...

With the redesign, wonder if the MDX will be dropped??

Yeah, the RDX had a few problems.  Its small turbo 4 is supposed to be good on fuel economy yet isn't and it suffers turbo lag, and at first the ride was way too hard (the ride was apparently improved in later years).  The interior is decent but not that luxurious and there's not much cargo space (although thats an issue with several small lux SUVs).
Why would Acura drop their best selling vehicle?

I'd be surprised if they did - the new RDX to me doesn't look that much smaller than the MDX.
My guess would be that they would attempt to push the MDX further upmarket

Edit - decided to dig a bit & get some actual dimensions.  RDX still based on CR-V platform so still quite a bit smaller:

                           Wheelbase           Overall Length         Passenger Volume
Current MDX                 108.3                    191.6                          141.8
Current CR-V                103.1                     178.3                          101.5
Current RDX                 104.3                     182.5                          101.4
New RDX                      105.7                     183.3                            ??

I'll be keeping this TSX for a long time. :) I like Acura's old formula. Sharp styling, sporty driving dynamics (for a FWD car), decent fuel economy & exceptional quality.

I had a 2006 TXS and it was a great car. Acura has always been a sporty type of luxury car. However, when they went to electric power steering in their latest generations they engineered the feeling out of it. I've driven the latest ZDX, TSX and TL and this is evident. I've driven the old NSX and it was great. The new NSX sounds interesting. Hopefully the pricing structure will be quite a bit less than the old one to make it accessible to more potential buyers.

i had a 2004 tsx.  it was one of the best fwd sedans i had ever driven.  it was just a great balance of fuel econ, hp through the front wheels, suspension compliance and firmness, awesome 6spd manual......on the down side, the driver's side leather started to crack after 2 years, the whole climate control was replaced after 8 months after dying...other than these two issues i loved that car.  the car was unusually minimal in it's design given japanese penchant for having designeria.    the tsx and s2000 imo were the best all hondas.   oh well.  i gave up on honda 5 years ago..  they aren't even on my visit list this year when i start shopping.
