Superbowl XLVI Automotive Ads
« on: January 30, 2012, 10:32:32 am »
They are beginning to pour in already, and the Superbowl is still days away.  So far, I give it to Chevrolet (Sonic) with a close 2nd to Honda, Audi and Toyota.

I'll ad more as I see them, or add more as you see them.

Love that Vampire one.

I like the Matthew Broderick Honda ad, and Hyundai's all for one with everyone in the factory doing the Rochy theme.  But the dogs barking the Imperial March had me rolling on the floor.  I'm at work with tears rolling down my face from laughing....  :rofl:

I'll be the first to say that I didn't like the Honda (Matthew) ad, thought it wasn't very creative and boring.

Loved all the Hyundai and Acura NSX ads. Toyota only for the couch, OK, the massaging cop was funny.

I think the VW ad wins again. And the Veloster ad gets across a very simple message (which, if true, is music to our ears).

By the way, a few other sites to find all the Super Bowl US ads, when they become available;

As there oddly wasn't already a thread on this!

Lots of good ones this year. My favourite is Suzuki's, which arguably doesn't quite count as it only ran in select (cold weather... you'll see why) markets, and not nationally. Still, it's pretty funny.

Chevy's post-apocalyptic Silverado ad also gets a nod, and Chrysler's "Halftime in America" ad gets props for featuring Clint Eastwood, who is just generally awesome.
