That 80,000,000 strong group with 1 Tn in purchasing power... its only $12,500 each which doesn't buy much car.   But is 1/2 of that group are under 15 and don't have a license then I guess its ok.
A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

Code 130R is probably the most practical but its looks are not appealing to me at all

I really like the looks of Tru 140S

Neither of these are particularly appealing to me. One of them looks like a Camaro that forgot half the sheetmetal back at the smelter, the other looks like a rip off of an Eclipse.

GM needs to work on other things besides niche cars.
Richard - that's my opinion and I stand by it.

THe 130R looks interesting, if they keep it cheap. Make it under $20K, put in a 6spd manual, limited slip grip, good stereo and Ill take it. Looks like a really nice cheap run around. The 140 is just another fwd econobox, yawn, next.

I think half of the story will be the interior features and how they are executed such as sync and data connectivity.

The ability to put your garbage into a blender at the back of the vehicle for fuel would be cool as well.

Tru 140S designers wanted to demonstrate technologies typically found in more expensive cars, including direct injection... Little outdated, considering a Hyundai Accent has that and many others..
I like the white one, even though it looks like a civic from the back side view.
The red one looks like  a starved love child of a bmw and camaro..

I'd like to see a 'production face' on the 130R. As it is I like the rear 3/4 profile and the back (sans the exhaust and lower fascia), but the front end kills it. Maybe something with a more prominent grille and headlights would do the trick. Big grilles were in at the auto show, the Audi RS5 had a beauty. Although, like anything, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

 Further case and point to my statement, more misguided investment at GM.

Millennials don't need a car at all.......just sell 'em a car simulator with full connectivity and facebook/twitter apps.

The Code 130R looks pretty interesting. Kind of like a 1 series before it got all melty.
