That is the thing with interior space. You don't always use all of it but the odd time you need it, you WANT it.

Yup. I honestly don't understand why people have an automatic hate towards minivans (or pickup trucks). I know many retired folks that have a minivan even though they rarely need the room it gives them. Why? They're comfortable, they sit high, they see over other cars, they're easy to get in and out, and when they go to Ikea or Home Depot, they can bring back just about anything they want.

My parents have been driving a minivan for almost 20 years now just for the reasons above.  When they were younger when they travled in the summer time, they didnt even have the 2 sets of seats in and just slept in there when traveling.

We don't always agree but I'm with you on this one. I myself, will never own a minivan, but, I absolutely understand their appeal and usefulness.

Well it kinda surprised me to see so many ppl have so much hatred towards certain groups.

I would probably never buy a minivan but i don't dislike minivan drivers. I don't like compact cars but ppl drive those cars as their free choices. What I don't like is ppl who keep saying "environmental concerns" as if someone driving a pick-up is deafeningly  guilty for causing global warming.

All kinds of like or dislikes reasons have been repeatedly said, so stop bashing other ppl about their personal views. Be a better person yourself, love your family more, work harder and go to gym more often.

I think if I didnt do the things I do that required a truck, I probably wouldnt have one.  I didnt own one up until 6 years ago, the minivan we had did most of the things we needed to do, as well as tow a small camping trailer.

But as life went on and things changed, we need a truck.  Now if I ever move back to the city and stop camping and quading all together, maybe I would go back to another car.

Im actually going the opposite know and maybe upgrading to a full size 1/2 ton from the Frontier.  After 6 years we have outgrown it, and since we need a truck for the things we do, its just the next step.

Maybe in 10 years when the kids are gone, I wont need one.  But for this stage in my life, I couldnt live the way I do without one
