2007 Infiniti M35 X
« on: January 12, 2012, 03:36:26 pm »
Hi there everyone,

Getting close to selling the pilot so my car search is gone into overdrive.  Someone here locally is selling a 2007 Infiniti M35 X for $17,500 which seems like a stellar deal, it has 77,000 km.  I am going to check it out after supper.  Anyone have any experience with these or have an opinion on them either way?  They are selling because they want an SUV for their growing family.

Thanks.

The M's are a great car!  The VQ35DE engine is extremely solid and the ATTESA-ETS AWD system works very well.  IMHO, it's a fantastic full size Sedan and that one is definitely priced very well assuming it's in good condition without any accident history.

As long as everything checks out in terms of the history and present condition of that particular car, I'd give that some serious consideration for sure.  Nice ride.

They have a great reputation. If it checks out OK I'd jump on it if you're looking for this type of vehicle.

edit

i just reread your post on the 07 525ix....If it was me I think I'd keep the 10g's in my pocket and go with the Infiniti

Very solid car. Interior is quirky but as far as I know pretty well put together.

Mechanicals are built to last.

It is a US vehicle, the guy says no accidents but I will get a car proof on it, anything else I should check?  Looks good inside and out.

People tend to sell them before 100,000K....from what I understand around there the scheduled maintenance costs are pricey.  So look into it...

The only downside to a m35X is gas mileage and also you have to use premium fuel. I was looking into getting one at one time but decided against it. Got something with a bit more utility. I would have no problem buying one. solid car. g35/m35 both are pretty bullet proof

There is no dealer here but I think there may be one in the works for later in the year.  I guess I would get maintenance done at Toyota?  The guy selling it bought it 9 months ago used from a GM dealer but now has a baby and needs an SUV.  Young people with more money than concerns it seemed like.

A Nissan dealer can do the maintenance, as long as its not warranty work.

I've never had issues getting warranty work done on any of my Infiniti vehicles at my local Nissan dealership.  I've only had to have two items warrantied, but they were done no questions ask by my Nissan dealership.  Maybe it's not the case in places like the GTA where there are many Infiniti dealerships available.

Interesting. My Honda dealership wouldn't do warranty work on our TSX.

We've only got one Infiniti dealership for all four atlantic provinces so that probably has something to do with it.  I am sure Hammy wouldn't be expected to take the boat over to NS to get any warranty work done.

Really?  Does your Honda dealership do maintenance on it?

Hammy, that's a real solid car if it checks out...

Yeah, our Honda dealership does our maintenance for the TSX. They have to call the Acura dealer for parts, since they have no access to Acura part #'s, even though they're Honda parts.  ::)

Been a few forum members with the M models, and they're well reviewed and are a great used car buy.  Tons of car for the dough.
