A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

I was in New Zealand in October and saw a hugh price difference between Gas and Diesel. Now I know why.

Gas ranged from $2.06 NZ dollars to $2.36 NZ dollars depending where you were on the either of the islands. While diesel remaind the same at $1.45 NZ dollars. Needless to say when I handed in the gasoline powered SUV on the South Island, I wasn't displeased when the rental company gave me a diesel on the North Island.
