Oh great, what the world needs is yet another SUV/CUV from GM. It looks like a shrunk down version of those god awful/ugly as sin Aztek/Rendez Vous things. This comes complete with that tiny 1.4l turbo engine which works well in the Sonic, is marginal in the Cruze but it is sure to be pathetically anemic in anything larger. The micro SUV market is also likely to be marginal as well.
I feel like an old scratched up LP record skipping over the past few weeks with the same take over and over again on the latest onslaught of "new" products from GM. They can't keep producing crap like this for niche markets. They utterly fail to recognize that companies like Honda, Toyota and more recently Hyundai have hauled them down in passenger car sales over the past 25 years with exceptionally good generic products such as Civics, Elantra's and Camry's. If they would spend more money and more time developing class-killer cars in those mass-sale segments they'd find an almost instant effect on their balance sheets. Sadly the Cruze is plain and simple not good enough, their mid-size sedans are a joke compared to the class leaders and "new" cars like the Orlando, the 130R & 140S's and the upcoming Colorado are neat advertising pieces but won't sell 3000 copies a month in this country.
I smell more government bailouts.
