Honda
« on: December 30, 2011, 08:20:09 pm »
Today I brought in my Honda minivan in for a $600 service. While I waited for the shuttle for a ride home I decided to have a look at the showroom. What a disappointment. I used to love Honda. My wife and I have owned 4 of them but I can honestly say the only car I would buy out of the showroom right now is the new minivan. It's really sad that such a great company has so little to offer meat this time.

My lease is up this summer and I still don't have a clue as to what to buy.

My perfect car is an awd station wagon with a manual tranny. Not much out there:(

What, no diesel?  You're obviously not hardcore.  :P

I'm with you on the tepid nature of Honda's lineup at present.  I hope they get their Mojo back.

You can get the Outback with the 2.5 and 6 speed manual, though it's more CUV than wagon now, and it's definitely not sporty.

Was wondering how long it would take for that one to show up. :)

Gotta pay to play with euro. :)

Hopefully Honda will stop trying to be Toyota and go back to being the old Honda.

The Fit is still one of the best (if not the best) sub-compact on the market. And while no one will call the revised Civic revolutionary, I think it looks great, and is a solid performer. And of course I'm ever a fan of the Ridgeline (one of the few, I know).

Good news. :) Hopefully it means a new S2000... maybe priced to compete with the BR-Z and Genesis. :D

By the time they inspect this, inspect that, grease this, lubricate that, adjust this, calibrate that, a couple of filters, brake service, belts... $600 easily after taxes.

Why do all that on a leased car due back in summer.  ::)

I used to really like Honda, the NSX, Integra Type-R, CRX, Civic Si hatch.....now, the only vehicles that I would say I could drive is the Ridgeline/Pilot. Whoever said they should stop trying to be toyota is right, toyota has become the choice of people who are beige....stop that Honda.

I hope things change for Honda. I'm really looking forward to the Detroit autoshow where Honda will be showing NSX concept, an accord coupe concept, the new ILX and a redisigned RDX. keeping my fingers crossed that something exciting shows up.

Also forgot that all new RL will also be shown.
