At least labour is in line with what the dealer charges...  :)

I thought $3K was a lot for brakes for the Porsche!  That included discs.  A Lexus LF-A brake job for $6500 and they machine the rotors?  I'd be chuffed.
No place I'd rather be...

If you could afford a ~$400K car, I'm sure $6500 is pocket change!

It's about 1.6% of the cost of the car. For your typical sub-compact or compact, that would be ~$250-350, which isn't out of line for a break job. That actually strikes me as being on the low end for that kind of work, in fact.

So, an LF-A is no more expensive to maintain than a regular car... on a percentage basis... :D

I knew lots of guys in the PCA that had big money, but still didn't take well to feeling ripped off.

How much would that service cost for a 458, or a Lambo? Just curious, it doesn't seem that expensive given the price of the car.

We had a Ferrari in for door speaker upgrades.  The panel was glued, and part of it had to be wrecked in dis-assembly.  That one part of the door panel was $4500.  I knew mechanical and service parts were uber-expensive, but I was shocked at the cost of the interior part, especially considering how junky it was.  The leather surface was gorgeous, but the underlying panel was crap compared to the similar part in a Civic.
