Optimum No Rinse is pretty sweet to use in the winter.  But a garage to do it in is preferred.

I washed the Edge over the weekend with ONR.  This stuff is absolutely the best there is for winter washing.  Very safe for your paint too.  A lot of people use ONR in the summer months as well if they have water restrictions.  I've been using ONR for quite a long time now and I'd highly recommend it.

Is it available around here Shane?

Unfortunately not Graeme.  I order it from eshine.ca along with my other detailing supplies.  I've got a few bottles of it though, you are more than welcome to have one if you want.

Thanks Shane I appreciate the offer but I think I misunderstood what this product is.. I watched a video of this and I guess I confused it with the waterless products out there. It also appears(from the video I found) to be really only suitable for cars that are fairly clean? (not winter grime/salt etc)
We have a problem washing cars at home as we are on a well with fairly hard water (spots) and have fairly low water pressure at our garage faucet .

Yeah, it's a rinseless car wash product not a waterless product.  ONR is suitable for light to moderate dirt build up.  What I typically do in the wintertime if there is heavy dirt accumulation (and like I did over the weekend) is take my vehicle to a local coin up and simply rinse the entire vehicle down.  I then use ONR to wash the vehicle when I am back home.   It actually sounds like you could benefit from using ONR.  :)
