"Toyota said an inadequate amount of adhesive may have been applied in some vehicles to secure the crankshaft pulley"

  Say what?

They are probably talking about hard rubber harmonic balancing ballast on crank shaft pulley.

If not, I can't think of anything that's attached to crank shaft pulley using glue.

It's called Loctite.

Speaking of the Juke  :)

Only 2 recalls so far:  frozen locks and boost sensors.  Pretty good for a new Nissan.

Let's start making excuses " a la Toyota" got to be the end users fault, there is just no way this could happen to the Juke ;D.  Honestly AS you fell right into this one, 5 post and there you are!!!  Anyhow you're busy bashing GM today, and I was looking to sidetrack you, don't let me stop your progress you seem on a roll.  Here's a link to the Verano thread so you resume quickly http://www.autos.ca/forum/index.php?action=post;topic=76786.0;num_replies=64

For Chr*st sake man, you're at the government TROUGH.  Try and pretend you're actually doing something during GOV hours other than surfing the net.

Mike:  the boost sensor and the engine bracket are related.  Nissan figured the boost sensor failure (which will put the car in limp mode) was caused by the bracket.  Time will tell.

Still, mechanically speaking, a nicely engineered motor.

I'm trying hard to get a tester from Nissan Canada.  Still in the running as a replacement for the gf's next car.

Yes indeed, the ubiquitious gov meetings:

9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

3:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

 :)
