I rode offroad motorcycles starting at a young age. I then married a physician with experience treating motorcycle accident victims and a not initially apparent philosophical opposition to motorcycles. We traded a pretty much open license to buy whatever enthusiast cars I want for no motorcyles.
Lesson learned - ask about openness to bikes on the first date.
