I think you should pay to advertise on this site.
Thank you. That is all.

I think if you were really a member here you would know we already discussed that video weeks ago.  Many found it a bit juvenile and others found it catchy.  I thought it looked silly and didn't work.

So, Subarucanada, maybe you would like to be a contributing member here, but dropping in to just post ads doesn't do Subaru any favours.

+1 Just posting a link to advertising is useless. I think its OK if a real contributing member (read joe public here), thinks something is kind of neat and wants to share, but not a Manufacturer.

As much as I like Subarus, I don't like this blatent attempt to get free advertising. A more appropriate post would be informative as to what Subaru is going to be bringing into the market (diesel? hybrid?), what technological/engineering advancements working on or about to introduce to make their products better/more appealing.

While we're on the subject of issuing directives for Subarucanada, how about telling your dealers to stop gouging their customers with a "mandatory" (so says the dealership) $500 documentation fee for every sale?  Or how about the $1700+ freight/PDI charge on the new Impreza - yeah I know all companies hose Canadians for freight charges, but that has to be a new record for gouging on a mainstream compact car...

I've been impressed the few times I've driven a Subaru (Impreza/WRX/Legacy), and always had one on my short list when buying a vehicle.  But every time I went to look at one, I was turned off by what appeared to be a sense of arrogance from the dealership, and by extension, the manufacturer.  Any comments on that, Subarucanada - or are you just going to pop by occasionally to try and get some free advertising?

Which one are you looking for?  Here is what I know:
-Prius V is next week I think
-Focus vs. Cruze is still being written by Jonathan and I
-Volt - James and/or Chris will be doing
-Sonic - just picked it up, in a few weeks?
-Versa - I think Chris has one in the works
-Accent - I think Hyundai is more then covered.
-Lexus CT 200h - Jil
-BMW X1 -Jil

However, all of these 'reviews' are posted in photo form on the evils of autoTRADER Canada facebook   http://www.facebook.com/media/albums/?id=8673837276

It made me sell my Outback, and buy another Outback. ;D

This explains the rather eccentric behaviour of the salesguy!

If Subaru Canada wants to interact with people on car discussion forums, they could do best by joining the Subaru-specific sites and participating there.  That would REALLY help their customers and attract new ones.

The same goes for the other car manufacturers.  While there is occasional participation in specific-brand discussion sites by "lower" ranking people, such as a mechanic at a dealership, the supposedly Internet-smart manufacturers universally avoid direct participation in these sites.  And these sites voluntarily support their brands and their customers.  Odd, perhaps even dumb.

^^^^This!

We have owned a string of Subarus, and have NOT bought a single one from a dealer, new or used.  The dealer sales practices and outrageous add-on fees are a total turn off, regardless of the goodness of the product.
No place I'd rather be...

Subaru is a vehicle I wanted to love but the two that I owned back in the 80's were P.O.S.
My son is looking at the Forester so I wish him luck....at least better luck than I had with mine :-)
I like manual transmissions better than automatics because I like to drive rather than be driven.

I remember when Nissan (Datsun) sold rolling rust heaps.  Times change.

My 1976 Civic was rusting as it came over on the boat.  Therefore all new Hondas rust?

Logical fail.
