Will winter tires fit?
« on: November 18, 2011, 06:52:34 pm »
Hi,
I have a 2007 dodge caliber with 235 55 r17 tires/rims on for the summer.
I found a set of tires from a 2006 6 cyl dodge caravan 215 65 r16 winter tires and rims.
I asked the service centre near me and they said they do not match, however, on the internet when I cross reference, they do fit.  There is a difference with wheel pattern in the 2006 caravans if are 4 cyl or 6 cyl.
I am not sure if that is what the service centre is talking about and they may have looked up for the 4 cyl only.
Any idea if these will be ok?
Any idea if these will work for over all performance of the caliber?
Thanks in advance :)
Rhonda

The winter tires are a good fit size wise and will work.  Don't know about the rim fitting issue.

^ What he said ......the tires are a good fit but....

You may run into trouble with the 16" wheels fitting over the brakes on the Caliber.  Maybe it would be best to check with a Chrysler dealer.

Sell the Caliber before it costs you an arm and a leg in repairs.  ;D
