Topic: 2008 Impala - wheel fitment question

My wife's grandparents have a 2008 Impala and they are looking for winter tires.  I assume it to be an LTZ model because the summer tires are 235/50R18s.  A quick look of winter tires has pricing starting around $250 per tire.  Ouch.  Does anyone here know whether the 225/55R17 tire/wheel found on other Impalas will fit?

Look on chevrolet.com.  If the LTZ doesn't have a different brake package (and I don not think it does) 17's will be fine as they are the stock size for all other impala's.

Steve is right, 16's might even fit as they were the stock wheel up until a few years ago.

I just checked the Canuck Chevy site and below are the brake and tire/wheel specs.  I found a used set of 17" Goodyear Nordics on steelies on Kijiji.  I'll let the father in law deal with any transactions.
