That said, if I was limited to $110K to spend on cars, I have to admit that I'd probably spend it elsewhere... but that's just me.

On what??  Nothing for $110K will touch it.....
How fast is my Supra?  I sh*t on Cessnas from a roll....

This annual incremental revision stuff is kind of scary.

Automotive equivalent of Moore's law? ;)

Boggling performance!

Except the prices don't keep coming down.... ;)

FWIW, the GT-R wrapped up the FIA GT1 World Championship this weekend.....

Agreed, for $110K nothing else comes close in terms of performance. It's an awesome machine for the money.

What I was thinking in my post was, if my budget was fixed at $110K I think I'd spread it around to 2 cars... perhaps a Cayman S and a STI.

The GT-R would definately fill the year round monster duties.  8)

I don't want to say anything negative about this car because as an enthusiast you have to appreciate the awesome capabilites of this car for the money. Plus the car gods would hit me with a bolt of lightning if I did. ;D

For me I just love smaller light sports car too much to sink the full theoretical budget on the GT-R only.

Really...you can say whatever you like about the car.  If everyone loved it, everyone would be driving one.  The only part I don't trust on the car is the tranny....but by all account it holds up pretty well to extra boost and abuse.  Although at 1000 AWHP, the tranny is a bit fragile.  Go figure.  :o

I see Porsche 911 TT in Michigan being driven year round.  I think I'd buy one of those, since you can get them for ~$40K now in the USA....

Otherwise, the new Audi TTR has me drooling....Would have to be chipped though!!  :)

... I've never liked the look but this car is all business...

It's as if they designed the chassis and then just stuck sheet-metal where it worked.  Total function over form design.
No place I'd rather be...

I can't recall where I read it, but Ferrari was talking about their first AWD system in the FF, and they brought up the GT-R.  They said they put the GT-R through every simulator and computer they have and can't figure out how Nissan does it.  According to their data, the car shouldn't be able to perform the way it does in reality.

Truly an amazing car.
