Motomaster Total Terrain W/T

Anyone have experience with these?

My gf is looking for winter tires for her new AWD Sportage. These are by far the best price I can see.

Not a fancy name, but the C/T reviews are good, and I've been quite happy with the Nordics I have on my truck.

What size are they? If they are 215/70-16, I would look at the General Altimax Arctic....too bad that their 25% off sale at CT ended on Thursday, Nov 3rd. I have heard that CT may PM the $120.02 price for the General Altimax Arctic from http://www.discountontires.com You may have to pay in cash or debit (no CC) with the difference in CT money.

Personally, I wouldn't touch any CT-branded (Motomaster) or -designed (GY Nordic) winter tire even if they were given out free. Nordic Wintertracs left a bad taste in my mouth. They lasted 1-2 years after ALL four tires started to bulging in the sidewalls.....one or two could be a pothole issue...all four would lead me to a manufacturing or design/QC/QA defect. Plus, they were not very good on ice when unstudded.

I would trust my cheap Arctic Claw (made by Cooper) tires over any CT tire.
